6 months...what?

I can't even believe I have been married 6 months. Over 6 months now... It seems that so much has happened in these last few months that time has just flown by. I really don't know where the time went. Brent is the greatest guy in the world and oh so sweet. I wouldn't trade him for the world, even though he is a little stinker sometimes. :) I love you Brent and I look forward to the next 6 months, and the 6 months after that, and the 6 months after that...

Haha...I love this picture!!

Here comes the Bride...

...all dressed in white! Well, its final. Big brother is married. It's kind of weird to think about it. But, it happened and Kevin and Stacie sure look like they are in love. Stacie was beautiful in her wedding dress and Kevin looked pretty sharp in his tux. Brent and I were late to the sealing and we were the last ones there in the room. Oops... We had to print off some directions that mother forgot and then she told us to take some weird exit that wasn't the exit the directions said. So, I blame her! But, we made it, Kevin and Stacie said yes and it was a really nice ceremony.

To the Duck Pond!

Chris and I were spending the day together while my parents were out doing picture/wedding things. I think he was getting kind of bored sitting at home all day and truth be told, so was I. I decided to take a little trip with him to the duck pond. You all probably know that I have been there quite a few times, but Chris had never been there. So, we packed a few slices of bread and walked down to the pond. Chris loved it! There was this one little duck that would jump up and take the little piece of bread out of Chris's hand. He had this funny little smile and did his funny, cute little laugh. I had to get a picture!
Other than the fact that it is a little dark and I didn't have time to photoshop it, I think this is such a cute picture. I also got one of the duck jumping, but it is kind of a creepy picture. I'm so glad that Chris got to stay with us for a few days. Even though he is goofy as all get out, he is an alright little brother.

Happy Birthday Brent

Happy, Happy Birthday to my amazing husband Brent! I do have a couple of pictures, but those will have to wait, as Brent hasn't uploaded them yet. Brent turned the BIG 22 yesterday and he is getting so old. :D I wanted to get Brent a game he has been wanting, but the game store did NOT want to cooperate with me and want to be helpful. So, I ended up getting him a new guitar for guitar hero since one of his is broken. I think he likes it? I did make him a delightful cake and he was happy about that. My parents got him this Monopoly game that is of the nintendo characters. He was pretty happy about that. And Jeannie got him/us an air conditioner for his birthday and he LOVES it. I do think overall he had a pretty successful birthday. I'm so glad to have Brent and I hope he had a happy day!

I LOVE YOU DEAR! Happy 22nd birthday!

Its been a long week...

Good news: Brent's car survived 6 round trips to Salt Lake in the last 4 days!! That is 12 hours of driving, and it survived. I am so proud of it. It has been a crazy few days and we have been super busy, but it has been a fun, fun break. I will do a run down of the past 4 days.

Tuesday:

Tuesday was a reading day and I didn't have any classes. I had a math review at 10:00am and it lasted a couple of hours. I came home in time to make our first trip to Salt Lake to pick of Heather, Hilary and Cherise. Garett wanted to come to party with us so he followed us up. We stopped at Cabella's on the way and it was quite enjoyable. I got a little something for my dad for fathers day and we looked around at the animals they have there. That store is really a neat place.
After we picked up the girls, we went shopping for a little bit at the mall. For some reason, on the way, Garett's car overheated and was steaming and hissing and stuff. He thought he would just leave it for a little bit and it would be fine. We were driving to The Mayan and Garett pulled over because his car way way over the H for hot and so we sat in some parking lot for a while trying to decide what to do. Brent just took all of us girls to the Mayan and went back to the parking lot to pick up Garett. The Mayan was really yummy and a bunch of Brent's relatives were there. It was really fun. We ended up leaving Garett's car in Salt Lake with some people he knows and he came home squished in the back seat with Heather and Hilary. They were a tight squeeze!

Wednesday:

Wednesday was the big day! We headed up to Salt Lake (trip 2) for Mark and Tara's wedding. We had to be there at 11:40am and the sealing was at 12:20. It was a really lovely sealing, the first one I have been to since my own! When we were hugging Mark and Tara, I told Mark "congrats Grandpa!" His face was so funny! (No, I'm not preggo, but I knew he would freak out. And he did. It was great!) We were waiting in the waiting room for Mark and Tara to come out and this temple worker was going around giving out candy. He reminded me of Grandpa so much. He was pulling it out of ears and everything that Grandpa does. He even sounded like Grandpa! Eventually, they came out, we took some pictures and did all that jazz. Then Brent drove me home so I could take my calculus final. (Soo hard, by the way.)

I had just enough time to try and accomplish that before we went to SL again. (trip 3!) We had to be at the reception hall for pictures at 6:00. I don't know why...haha. We didn't take any pictures until 7! But, the reception was beautiful. I don't even want to know how much everything cost. But, it really was gorgeous. Tara looked beautiful, the flowers were amazing, and the food was delightful.
We made it home Wednesday evening and I studied some for my Thurday test and then I went to bed. Garett slept over and stayed on the couch. I don't know how he did it. We only have a loveseat...

Thursday:

Thursday morning I had a 7am final! How gross is that? I had to get up and get ready before its even humanly possible it felt like. I do think I did pretty well on that test, I can usually make up stuff and sound smart. When I got home, nobody was up yet and I thought we were going to be all ready for Lagoon. But, I had to get everyone moving. We eventually made it out the door and off to SL. (trip 4...) We stopped at some place that Garett knows about for a late breakfast, stopped at Target, and headed further north to Lagoon. It was so HOT. It was really fun though. I went on some pretty scary rides, in fact, I didn't not go on any rides that the boys went on! I am so proud of myself.

This one is called Wicked. It goes straight up, and then straight back down. And that is not a joke. The line was really long and so I was freaking myself out. Brent and Garett weren't helping either. But, I got strapped in and they wouldn't let me out. It was so much fun! The line was too long to do it again, but it was really, really fun!

There were some other really fun rides too, but I just wanted to brag about Wicked. I'm impressive, right? It was a long day, and my feet were killing me. But, it was so much fun! Thanks for getting us the good deal Tina. And thanks Heather and Hilary for getting us the tickets for Brent's birthday! You two are great!

Friday:

Friday we took the girls back to the airport for trip number 5! It was so much fun to have them stay with us! Come back anytime Heath and Hil!! We would love to have you. And maybe things won't be so crazy with finals. We also stopped at the guys house that made the flowers for the wedding to do some stuff there. That is a whole other story though. When we got home, we were just relaxing when Garett called. He needed a ride up to SL to try and fix his car. Hooray for trip 6!! Garetts car didn't even get fixed. Its a bigger problem than he thought it would be.

All in all, it was a fun week. But, it was crazy as all get out! We are still alive, and should probably get ourselves ready for the upcoming week with Kevin's wedding. Yay for weddings!

Happy 50th Anniversary

Okay, so it is a little bit late. But, late is better than never right? And with the crazyness of this week, I think I should be forgiven. But, this is a happy 50th anniversary to Brent's grandparents. They are so cute. Brent has the funniest grandpa and his grandma is so sweet. 50 years seems like a long time, but I have that to look forward to with my sweetheart and I 'm so glad.
