a good Monday

The little Bushman kiddos called me today! My mom went over there to hang out with them for awhile and they called to surprise me.

Kat told me how many bones I had in my body and about looking inside owl pellets to find bones. She told me that she loves school. I'm so glad!

Nathan was playing his "favorite race" on the Wii. He also fell off and wasn't too excited about that.

Dane talked in some foreign language. Or something like that. I don't really know what he said, but he was excited that he beat Nathan for that race.

Reed told me how he says Elmo and Cookie Monster. He also told me, "Hiiiiii!" He is so adorable. And so not a baby anymore.

I was so happy to talk to them! I miss those little kids. Even if they aren't so little anymore.

We conquered the mountain!

(pictures to come...)

My parents came to Utah after they dropped Chris off at BYU-Idaho. Pretty much they just missed my gorgeous face. I mean, who wouldn't?

We had a fantastic time!

We took them to Doc's Pizza, a fabulously filthy place here in Provo. I'm pretty sure my mom was worried about catching some weird disease.

My mom and dad took The Other One to Kneaders. While I haven't ever even had this so called glorious french toast, it was fun to tease Grant about going.

We had Tucanos while they were here-yummy. We also went to visit Aunt Amy which is always so much fun, she is so sweet!

But, the biggest moment of all was when we, all of us, made it to the Y. Me and Brent actually made it to the top of the Y and I am so proud of us! Brent was just climbing up the mountain like it was nothing. It was pretty darn exciting, if I do say so myself.

It was fun to have the parents here for a bit.

gone home-Aug. 2009

Aren't we so tender?

Okay, so this is extreme amounts late. But, better late than never, right?
At the end of August we took a quick trip home. Brent really needed a break from full time work before he started school again and I needed a break too.
We drove all Wednesday night to get home Thursday morning. We only stayed until Sunday. It was a l-o-n-g trip, but well worth it.We did lots of hanging out and just relaxing. We spent time with everyone and that was wonderful.
We had a good time boating--the lake didn't swallow Brent's wedding ring! YAY!
We ate Chico's and Brent was in Heaven. We ate Thai Shrimp & Noodles and I was in Heaven.
We had a successful trip to the fair. We didn't see anyone that we would have had to avoid. Ha... And Brent got some space burgers.
For some reason, the only pictures I have are from boating with Jeannie & Brian, Brent with some Pepsi, and a couple of us at the fair. I always think that I am going to be great at taking pictures, but time passes too quickly.
I call it quite a successful trip.
