Whew!

Don't you hate it when you work and work and work all day but you are basically the only one who can tell a difference? That is kind of how I feel right now. Its 8:00pm and I have been going ever since I woke up this morning. (Don't think I woke up nice and early, I did sleep in. After all, I only have a few more days of freedom!) So, I have just been busy all day.

Our room (our whole apartment) has been a complete mess ever since we got home from Moses Lake. The Sunday before we left, we had some people over as sort of a goodbye Andrea party. Our kitchen didn't have a single dirty dish and the living room was beautiful. Oh my goodness, I was so proud of myself! I did a fantastic job. I really should have taken pictures. (And the party was really fun, too!) However, everyone left late and we had to get up early the next morning for work and so I put off re-cleaning. Then it was time to pack and so I made an even bigger mess everywhere looking for what I wanted to take and leaving stuff that I didn't. On Tuesday, the day before we left, Brent worked until 9:30pm and hadn't started packing yet. Oh boy. So, the mess remained. When we got home from our trip, the mess was still here. I didn't think it would have gone away, I just forgot how messy we left out apartment. (Now, you can't go thinking I am just a slob and don't take care of myself and my hubby. Cause I do. We are just very busy people!) Ever since we returned, it has been go go go with work and getting ready for school. Well, with my long weekend-no work Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday-I decided to do some cleaning. That is where today comes in.

After we got up, I was a mad woman. My goal was to conquer our bedroom. And, I am proud to say, that I did it-mostly!! Brent was working in the living room today and he did a pretty good job too. He helped me in the bedroom too when I thought there might be a spider or when I needed a strong man or when I couldn't quite reach the top of the closet. Thank you, dear! The two closets in our room look amazing. We actually have empty shelves in both of them to fill with things that I am sure will be found homeless as my cleaning continues. My desk looks fantastic. It even has my computer on it and I am sitting at it right now. The only things that are on the top are my computer, my planner, and my cellular device. It of course has shelves that are filled and whatnot, but it looks so good! And Brent ran to Staples and picked me up a bookcase/shelf/cupboard thing to put my school books in. It was even on clearance!!! I had so much stuff that didn't have a home and now it does. Brent even built it with his terrific furniture building skills. And there is still room in that!! The laundry hampers are full to the top, but usually laundry is done on Sunday. Shhh...don't tell! However, since we have to do our laundry across the street where everyone else does theirs it is usually pretty busy. And since everyone else is better than us, Sundays are pretty good days to get a machine. :) Brent does have a few things to organize in here still, but all in all it looks great! I am so proud of us.

Moses Lake pictures are still to come. I think I may even upload some here in just a little bit. Don't get to excited though just in case I don't.

RIP Flo

Flo went much too soon. She passed on yesterday night and returned to Heaven with all of her fishie family members. I asked Hilary if I could be the favorite aunt. I was even going to send her something as a gift from her favorite auntie. While Flo will be greatly missed by all who knew her or even heard of her, she will live on in our memories forever. Hilary-Flo would want you to be happy. She would want you to remember her always, but to move on in the pet world. Keep Flo close to your heart, as you will see her again someday.

Oh Boy

The pictures say it all...

Funny Story

Brent finally gave me these pictures and so I can finally tell this story.

I was in the bathroom, doing my business mind you, and I was throwing a piece of toilet paper in the garbage. I hate it when I go to get the TP and there is a little piece from the square before it, I know-I'm OCD, Brent tells me all the time. So anyways, I was throwing that little piece away, and pushing the garbage down when I see a ginormous, hairy, man-eating spider in the garbage. I swear to you that it hissed at me. Holy cow, it was awful! I yelled for Brent to grab the vacuum and come quick! He comes, not very quickly when I'm stranded in the bathroom and asks what the problem is. I show him the spider and he grabs the raid. Haha. He wanted to spray the spider but couldn't spray the can upside down. So, I tell him to take the whole thing outside and throw it in the big dumpster so I wouldn't have to see it. So, I finish my business and go get ready to lay in bed and read my book. He comes in with a grin on his face and I didn't know why. Then, I looked at his arm...and screamed. He had drawn a gross looking spider on his arm with a sharpie and it looked just like the spider that was in the garbage can. EWW! He had a good laugh at my pain on that one. However, I do feel better about it because he came in later and told me of how he was scared by his own practical joke. He was reaching to get his computer, saw the spider, and jumped! Haha, it was my turn to have a good laugh.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

DEIDRA!

Oh Deidra, I am so excited that you caught up with me in age. Hooray for you! 20 really is a great age, I'm not going to lie. I mean, you can't do anything that you couldn't do at 20, but it's the thought that counts. And, I am so excited that it was your birthday today. I know that you wish I was with you. I know that you want us to be together on this joyous day, but don't worry. I will be with you soon. And then you will come to me too.

Deidra, don't forget the song that I sang to you today. I practiced it forever, trying to get it just right. I think I just about nailed it...

I miss you dear friend and am excited to see you.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

I want to go home...

....and I am!

Just a count down until we go home. And its less that a week until we are in amazing Moses Lake again. Oh, I can not wait! I miss everything about that place. The people, the brown, the dry, the mall, the smell, the everything. Brent and I couldn't be more excited.

Now how will I spend my Monday evenings?

American Gladiators has come once again to a close. And I'm not quite sure what I am going to do with myself on Mondays. Kevin and Stacie came over every Monday and we would have a Gladiators party. We would really get into it too. Picking our favorites, cheering them on from home, and making fun of our non-favorites. We loved watching Wolf make secret eyes at Helga and we KNEW about their secret love affair. I'm just not sure what to do now. We really are going to have to come up with something to do so the hole in my heart won't be too noticeable. Brent? Kevin? Stacie? What do you think?

Guess what I held...

So, I had the most exciting thing happen to me. I was checking people out at work and all of the sudden...it just happened. Here are a few clues before I tell you what it was that happened exactly.

-Some are worth over 20,000 big ones.

-It usually has a person's name on it.

-It usually has a logo and year on it.

-It is often times covered in diamonds.

-Winners and losers receive this award.

-And, the clue that should give it away....

......It is received for making it to the SUPER BOWL!

Okay, I held a superbowl ring. And it was so heavy. I really don't understand how someone could carry it around on their finger all day. So, here is the story. I was checking this man out when I saw his ring. I told him how neat it was and he just took it right off and handed it to me. I was looking at it and it was covered in diamonds and weighed so much! He then told me how it was a Super Bowl ring and it was his sons. His son played in the Superbowl two years ago for the Chicago Bears. Gabe Reid, #82, Tight End, and he played for BYU! Isn't that just the coolest thing? Not only was he in the Superbowl, but he played for my college!

I kept talking about this experience all night. I think Brent was kind of getting a little big sick of hearing about this exciting experience. Also, Gabe has a very, very nice dad. He was so proud of his son and so happy to tell me all about the ring. Hooray for me! And football! (Even though I have no idea what it is about....)
