Dear Deerdra,
I miss you oh. It really has been too long since we have hung out. Really. It was joyous to see you today. I loved that special moment. Thanks for being in the same spot as me at the same time as I was. Thanks. Don't let David steal you forever. He can have you forever, but so can I....right? :)

photoshop
So, I decided to mess around with photoshop today because the homework I was doing was really starting to become boring. Ha.
I took some pictures of a beautiful model....yep, myself, and then I messed with the colors and the color of my eyes. Haha. It was just kind of fun. And, since I haven't posted for quite a long time I thought I would put them on my blog. Oh what joy. You folks are in for a treat today! I only worked on them for about 10 minutes which included the actual taking of pictures...so, it was fun.

Do I see American Idol in the future??
Brent got guitar hero world tour for Christmas. My parents didn't want him to have to bring it on the plane, so they got him a gift card and he ordered it when we got back home. It finally came and he went and picked it up. We made a deal that he couldn't open the box until the living room was clean. So, after cleaning (it looks okay...he was getting so anxious so I folded) he opened up the box and started playing. He got the whole band set, guitar, drums, and mic. Boy oh boy, he is so good! You will have to excuse me screaming, I had to encourage him. But, I think this video is cute. Way to go dear! What do you think everyone....should he try out for AI next season??

January monthly special
Well, I didn't know when I would get any new pictures taken seeing as school is going to kick my behinder this semester, so I just decided to use some old pictures that I had and mess with the channels. I had originally turned both of these photos black and white but hadn't done anything more than that. I like how the pictures look and will probably mess around with them more later on. But, for now, here they are, my Take Out Photo January monthly special.

This one is behind the old dance studio and I didn't really mean to take it. I was kind of just shooting pictures with an awesome camera and really liked how this turned out.

Happy Anniversary a little late
Brent and I have been married for a whole year. I keep wondering where the year went and how it slipped by me so fast. I think it is because I have never been happier and I have never laughed harder. We both have never been busier and never worked harder. (At least I think its true for the both of us...)
I was thinking of ways to remember our first year of marriage, and I thought I would just note a few stories of our first year of marriage and put a few reasons more that I have grown to love Brent over this year.
-On a Sunday, we came home from church early because Brent wasn't feeling too well. We hadn't been married very long at all at this point. We were sleeping on an air mattress until we could get a real bed and so we took it into the living room to watch TV together so Brent could rest. (One of the best idea's ever, by the way!) So, we were laying there watching lost when Brent got up to go to the bathroom. He came back and told me the toilet wouldn't flush but that he didn't do it. Haha, okay... So, a while later he said he was going to go try again. I hear him say, "Oh no. Oh no. Oh no." What? He just kept saying that when I went into our kitchen. There was a puddle coming from under the wall from the other side of the basement. It was getting bigger. So, we tried to mop it up and stop it with towels. Brent finally got ahold of someone from the place we rent and they came over with a vacuum to clean up the water. The plumber had to come and do a bunch of stuff. I remember not knowing what to do and that I couldn't freak out because everything was out of my control. So, I just sad and read a book at the kitchen table while our apartment was being flooded. (Don't worry, the apartment people were there at this point and out apartment is so tiny that I was just getting in the way. I really did try to help!) Our hallway, closet, living room, and kitchen all had water damage to them. But, things got cleaned up and everything was okay. Brent was so great in getting the phone numbers to call and in trying to clean up what he could.
-Brent is so patient. I like to be 'crazy go nuts' as he sometimes says and he just lets me be silly. Sometimes he is even silly with me. Brent takes my crazyness and handles it like a champ. I love him for that. He is the best.
-We have kind of a crappy apartment. Its small and cramped and doesn't even have a dish washer. I know, everyone says we will love the memories from this apartment, and I believe them, I really do. But, this apartment still stinks. We have had bug problems on a couple of occassions. We put in one of those ac units that go in your window and these tiny little flea bugs would come in and take over our living room. I hated it. And so did Brent. But he just would go Raid happy and try to destroy the darn things. We also have had ant problems. Ants were all over our kitchen. I was eating something when I looked down and there were ants all over that thing I was eating. I freaked out! Brent was at work and it was terrible. I called him and had a little melt down because I had just eaten some ants. So, Brent calmed me down and came home to take care of me. He didn't even go to work the next day to make sure he had killed them all so that it didn't happen again. Oh my hero! Seriously, it was awful. I can't even explain how terrible it was.
-Brent is so supportive of me. I knew he would be before we got married, but how can someone be so amazing? Brent always tells me that I am doing a great job in school and that I am going to be a great teacher. He knows when I am so frustrated with school and he is there to tell me that it will be okay. He knows what I want to accomplish and he so wants to be achieve my dreams. He is the best support.
-Brent takes random trips with me and does all of the crazy things I have in mind. We have been to the duck pond quite a few times and he seems to love going with me, even though I'm not always sure he is. Brent takes me on road trips when I don't want to be at home. Brent tells me he loves me a million times a day. (Maybe not that many, but pretty close!) Brent is my best friend in the whole world.
I have gone longer than I thought I would and I have a million more memories to tell. But, I will spare you and tell them to myself. :) I can't believe a year has already past, but I look forward to an eternity of years left to come. Happy first anniversary, dear!

So, we took the Bushman kids to hot chocolate over break again. It was loads of fun. Those kids are a hoot. Seriously. Sorry Melanie about Dane's shirt. I'm not sure what happened there. Maybe next time don't let him wear white? :) When Kat was making that face, she said, "Hurry, I can't hold this for long." It was so hilarious! After we dropped the kids off, Brent said to me, "Dear, can we only have one at a time so I can practice?" It was way too cute. Jeannie told Brent that they usually only come one at a time so he didn't need to worry. I think he was relieved. Ha!

The Snuggie? Christmas continued...
I have been seeing more and more of these little delights on TV. It seems that they are always advertising the Snuggie. (I secretly kind of want one. But it has to be a secret or I would be so made fun of. haha) But, I noticed that grandma's blanket had a zipper and buttons on it. What's that all about? Well, she has her own type of snuggie. Oh my dear. It was so funny. I took pictues. On two different occassions. Grandma, grandma, grandma...what are we ever going to do with you?

Oh what a joy!
Christmas break was amazing. It was wonderful to be home and it was a well needed rest from school. We did lots during our trip and I do have a few pics.
On Monday before we left it snowed like mad. Seriously, it was insane. I was so worried that we wouldn't get home. Brent had to shovel his car out because there was huge piles on each side of his car. He is such a good boy.

Christmas eve morning we left our apartment at 5:00am so we could get to the airport. We were flying from SLC to Seattle, had a layover, and then flew from Seattle to Spokane. Our SLC flight was on time and nothing to worry about. We got to our gate in Seattle, they told us we would board in 6 minutes and then about 60 minutes later our plane showed up. They had to unload that flight, clean the plane, get us boarded, deice the plane, and finally take off. (There was snow in Seattle! It was so insane. Quite a bit too.) By the time we got to Spokane, we were way late. We went to Ted's house to visit them for a while and by the time we got on the road, it was straight ice. It was slow going and a long trip. There were people off the road and it was just insane. We finally got home and ran out to the Hirz Christmas eve party. Since out plane was late we were late to the party and the games were already done. I felt bad, but it was still fun and I think Brent had a great time. After the party we went to Jeannie's house to spend the night. Brent and I slept well since we had been up for so long and didn't get much sleep the night before.
Christmas day!!! We woke up and got ready before opening gifts. Jeannie even wanted to eat first, but I think gifts won. Christmas was quite good to us this year. I think we got everything we wanted and then some. Christmas breakfast was yummy (thanks everyone!) and it was fun to be at Jeannie's Christmas morning. Christmas afternoon we headed to my house to open more presents and eat dinner. My dad made Prime Rib (yes, it is capitalized) and it was amazing. I even took a picture of my plate. YUM. Thanks mom and pop for dinner and for Christmas. Christmas night we headed to Tri Cities to go to Mark's and have Christmas again and to spend the night. It was good to be there and I know that he was happy to see me! (He might say otherwise, but I"m sure he loved it!)

On the 26th Brent and I celebrated our very 1st anniversary. I can't believe that we have been married for a whole year. It has been the most amazing year of my whole life. I have laughed more this year than I ever have before. Brent is my very best friend and I am so thankful for him. I am going to do a post just about our anniversary, but here are a couple of pictures. We went to PF Changs (thanks for the gift card Jeannie!) and we hit up the movies with Mark and Heather.

When we came back to Moses Lake we went bowling and it was a blast! My mom had some moves. I was pretty impressed.

More to come later. My computer is dying and I need to plug it in. The more will probably be just pictures and a few words, don't you worry!
