Its late. And I'm tired. But...

I just had to write about this. And this might be a little bit sappy. But, I'm okay with that. And since this is for me....all is well with the world!

I went visiting teaching today with a friend from the ward because my companion didn't get back to me and I didn't want to go alone. We walked over there the few blocks to her house and when we got there it had started to rain a little bit. Well, we ended up being there for two hours! And it was really fun. I hope I wasn't the only one that thought that. Haha. Anways, when we were leaving, it was really raining hard. But, I love the rain and so we just walked home. I was soaked when I walked through the door and I was also kind of cold. But, I asked Brent to dance with me in the rain. And he agreed! We were outside and he was giving me a kiss and he asked what it reminded me of. He proposed in the rain when wen went on a walk and he is the one that thought about it! Isn't that the sweetest thing you have ever read? He is the one that said something about it and it made me so giddy inside. I just love this husband of mine. What a keeper!

And, no, he didn't propose at this football game. But, I like this picture of us. And so I wanted to put it here. Lucky people looking!! :)

Weekly happenings

Well, it doesn't seem like a lot has been happening lately. I just haven't mentioned any of it. I guess I will just mention a few things that have been going on.

-Andrea got her mission call!!!!!! She has been called to the England Birmingham mission to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. While I am so excited for her and she is going to be the most amazing missionary, I am so, SO going to miss her. Since Deidra left me Andrea is the only girly-friend I have. (Besides Stacie-but she has to like me because she married my brother!) But, Andrea will be great and I am so excited for her. She reports to the MTC in England on October 31st. Halloween! The same day that Brent came home from his mission. Ha. Good luck Andrea and be excited for all the letters you will get from me!!

-Brent and I have been married for 7 months (yesterday!). I won't get all sappy on you or anything, but I am so happy that we are married. He is the best person in the entire world for me and I love, love, love him. I always tell him that he is the best husband I have ever had. So what if he is the only one I will ever have. It's still the truth! :)

-Brent and I went to the temple yesterday and did some sealings. It was one of the greatest dates I have ever been on. The sealer was such a great guy and the spirit was so strong. The sealer told us that he tries to go with his wife on their anniversary and he always gives his wife a kiss over the alter when they are done. So, he told us that we could kiss over the alter. And we did. And it was so sweet.

-I started working at Staples a couple of weeks ago. It is alright, but I think Brent is much better cut out for working there than I am. I really don't know anything about the things sold at Staples, but I pretend! And I look pretty darn cute in my little outfit with my knife on my belt. Ow Ow!

-And.....to finish off this fantasitc post, I am done with Summer classes next week!!!!! I am so excited. I just want to sing praises. And then I will get a little bit of a break. And I don't have finals!!

-Oh! One more most exciting point of news! We are going home in just a couple of weeks. Me and Brent are both so excited to go home for a visit and I just can't wait. Hooray for trips to Moses Lake. I love that place!!

weekly uplift

I watched this video from another blog, and it is so simple yet so amazing. These words are beautiful yet I hear them all the time. This video is well worth the time to watch it. It is from a BYU devotional by F. Enzio Busche. Great, great video.

"Such, we prepare all the days of our lives, and, as we grow, death loses its sting, hell loses its power, and we look forward to that day with anticipation and joy when He will come in His glory."

i couldn't help myself

love this show

I love So You Think You Can Dance. Oh. My. Gosh. It is so, so good. I watch it and I wish that I was half as good as those dancers. They are incredible. I still don't have a favorite. Usually I do and I can pick who I want to win, but I really think all of them are amazing. I do really like Courtney Galiano though. She just dances with all of her heart and she looks so cute doing it. And the boys....holy cow! They are amazing, incredible, talented, brilliant. Oh I love this show. Now for one of my favorite dances of the whole entire show....

Ken Lee

So, this video is awesome. I shouldn't like it as much as I do since my minor is ESL, but it is really, really funny. I dare you to watch it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQt-h753jHI

Old....but so, SO cute

Brent wore the most adorable outfit a couple of weeks ago. He looked so, SO cute. I took some pictures and the first one he actually gave me a real smile. I love this boy. He makes me so happy and I feel extremly blessed to be married to him. How cute right?

A Picnic in July

Gorgeous

Today turned out to be a really great day. We slept in, I won't say how long, and got up to get ready for the temple. I had been wanting to go do some sealings and so we both had the day off today and thought it would be the perfect day. So, we got all dressed up and the temple was closed! It is closed until the 21st of this month. That is like 3ish weeks! I was kind of getting frustrated. So, we then decided we would go to Costco. We went yesterday and got all of our things, but when we got to the register, Brent's card was expired and it had been for more that 7 days. So, we left with nothing. Jeannie renewed Brent's card for him and so we thought we could get our stuff for real. Well, it turns out that if you renew it online, it will take a few days for your card to be updated. We made the trip for nothing, once again. By now I was getting really frustrated. Nothing was working out for us. I had the brilliant idea to go for a drive up the canyon and have a little picnic. We had stuff for sandwiches, we had some chips and Brent got us some soda and a treat. We didn't know for sure where to go so we just started driving. (I don't usually recommend this as gas prices are so high, but today it really was worth it!) We drove and we drove and we drove. I was driving and I hate driving on roads that I haven't ever been on. Brent was really enjoying himself looking at all the scenery and whatnot. We pulled into what we thought would be a good place for our picnic, but it was really crowded. So, on we drove. Brent and I switched when we got to Heber City! Haha. But, for some reason, we kept going. We eventually made it to Midway before we turned around. It was such a beautiful drive. We still hadn't made it to a place for a picnic yet, mind you. But we turned around with high hopes. We did end up pulling off to this park with a huge lake and picnic tables. The table we picked had lots of ants, but they didn't bother us. It was breathtaking. The weather was perfect and so was the company. I am so, so glad that Brent came outside with me. I know how much he hates the outdoors, but he did such a good job with me. (I think he even enjoyed himself!) Since Brent was driving on the way home it was my turn to look at the beautiful scenery around us. While I do hate living in Provo, I think that I might miss the mountains when we end up moving. (Don't tell anyone...but I am kind of glad that the temple was closed. I had the greatest day with my amazing husband and I loved it!)

Our little picnic table. Brent had food in his mouth, haha.

I took a picture of myself trying to get the scenery in the picture, I'm not sure that I did such a great job. And, I have food in my teeth....it isn't my fault!

Haha, Brent had sunflower seeds in his mouth and he was pretending to be a fountain, I think...

And then I wanted to take a nice one of him, but this was his face. Poor kid...I treat him so unfairly.

"That think is evil looking." Brent

Yeah, I know this isn't a good picture, but it was the best I could do.

We have a plan!

Melanie! This post is for you. You see, I miss your adorable little children. I haven't seen them in forever and it makes me quite sad. So, I'm coming home this August. In the middle. And me and Brent have decided that we want to play with your kids! He enjoyed it last time when we all went out for hot chocolate. (We even want to play with Reed....I just don't have a picture with him....he wasn't at my wedding...and neither were you.... :P...) So, we decided. We get to play. You and Milo can go on a date or you can go shopping or you can go to a movie or you can go swimming. Whatever you want to do really. Okay? How does that sound? I'm excited!

Happy Birthday

AMERICA! (A day late...I woke up and had an emotionl breakdown today, so I am just now posting about America's birthday. More about the breakdown later.) And what a great birthday it was. Kevin had to work from 2 in the afternoon until 2 in the morning and Stacie didn't want to have a lonely 4th of July. So, after work, she came over and we had a little BBQ of sorts. We had hamburgers, salad, jello, and watermelon. It was quite delightful. We also played Candyland again and Brent only won 1 game! Stacie won twice and I won once. It was oh joyous. Thanks for coming Stacie! We walked down to the staduim to watch the fireworks from the stadium of fire. (I forgot my camera!) Stacie had a dinner packed for Kevin but didn't know where he was. We just kept walking. All of the sudden, I heard her say, "Lover!" I was kind of concerned because I didn't see Kevin anywhere around. But, there he was. So, she got to sit with him while he ate and we all watched the fireworks together. It was great! The fireworks were really amazing. They went for quite a long time. Way better than any I ever saw in Moses Lake, that is for sure. I'm so glad for the country that we liev in and for the people that fight so hard to preserve this great land. I feel so blessed to live here in the United States.

6 times? At a game with NO skill?

Kevin and Stacie had us over for dinner tonight and it was delightful. Thanks you two! (I told Brent when we got home, "We have a married couple friend!" We aren't going to tell people that we already knew you, and that Kevin has to be my friend because he is my brother...) But, it really was yummy. Afterwards we played Clue and then Candyland. First game, Brent won. The first card he pulled was the Princess Frostine! What?! Second game, Brent won. Third game, Brent won. By this time me and Stacie wanted to keep playing just until someone, ANYONE else won. Fourth time, Brent won. Fifth time, Brent won. Candyland requires zero skill and Brent was somehow able to keep winning. Sixth time, Brent won. Almost every game, someone else was in the lead and then some unfortunate occurance caused Brent to surpass us all and he would win the game. Honestly, what are the chances of that happening? Stacie and I wanted anyone else to win. Yes, I was going against my cute little husband. But, seriously, he needed to stop winning! Kevin did have the great idea to go buy a lotto ticket...we seriously could have had a good chance at winning...

Happy Canada Day

Grandma, mom, this one is for you. Happy day! Canada has provided me with many great summer time memories. And I do think that is a pretty okay place. Sometimes, when it snowed in June, I'm not too sure. But, all in all, I think we will keep it around.

Chief Mountain-Did you know that it took me forever to see the Chief?
