Rock Star??

The week my momma came there was a little bit of fun involved. Which was great because it took my mind off of other things. Here are just a couple of pictures from the weekend.Also, since I know Mimi and Bampa want to see this video of Brent singing, I thought I'd put that on here too. It's kind of long, but parts of it are pretty funny.

The past week....

This week I have felt a million different emotions that I didn't even know existed. I wish I were I good writer so I could express what I needed to in a way that would make sense. But, since I'm not a good writer, and since things are still too fresh for me to express my feelings on the internet...I won't. Not yet. I will just say that this past week has been a rough ride. For lots of people, not just for me. I went to the doctor on Wednesday, just to check things out and make sure I was okay. However, I found out that things weren't right with little Baby Hirz. My baby wasn't the right size and things just weren't right. The doctor told me I was going to have a miscarriage. I just didn't really know what to think. Brent and I were so excited, so ready to have a baby come into our home!! It was something that we have been praying for for a long, long time.

Without expressing all of the things that went through my mind, that's really all I can say. Brent has been so amazing to me. He has cried right along with me but he has been the most wonderful person to cry too. I am so grateful, so lucky to have such a wonderful husband. How did I get so lucky? I have asked a lot of questions, things about what happened to little baby Hirz? And, I have had lots of great answers. One thing I am so grateful for right now is the Gospel. (I did get angry though, and confused and I wondered why this happened....) But now I am grateful. (Not that I still don't have other emotions, but I'm only human.) I have this wonderful knowledge that Jesus Christ lives. That I will be able to raise my baby someday. That the Savior knows my pain and that he knows what I am feeling. This gospel really is glorious. It is perfect. I have a Heavenly Father who is just and fair and who loves me and knows me by name. What a comfort.

What a blessing my mom has been. She came and helped us move all of our home, cleaned our old apartment with Brent, and has taken great care of me. I love moms. Mine most of all. She is the best mom in the whole world. And when I do get to have babies of my own, I might be a good mom too. Only cause of her example. And if I'm half like her, I'll have some darn lucky kids.

Nothing like finishing my Junior year at BYU to brighten up a few cloudy, depressing days. Yeah, way to go Carolyn. Way to go.

In honor of me being a senior once again, here is a picture of me when I used to be a senior.

One year folks. One year until I am wearing another stupid looking outfit just like this. Only, it'll be a different color and with a lot less things around my neck saying how smart I am, believe you me.

Well...

Turns out, I don't have a new job. I thought I should tell everyone because I still get a congrats here and there... I got told I had it twice, TWICE, but then they found out I was pregnant and they said they needed time to think about it. They were supposed to get back to me on Friday, but no phone calls, no nothing. I'm pretty sure they can't do that, but they did it. I'm back at Staples and just as awesome there as ever. Ha.

However, I'm feeling fine. No throwing up so far. My mom keeps expecting me to call and tell her I can't stop chucking, but I'm hoping that doesn't happen! Oh how nice would it be if I never threw up? Also, I wish I knew if this little baby was growing, it still feels unreal. I haven't been to the Dr. yet. I'm still not sure who I'm going to go too. If you know anyone amazingly wonderful, you just let me know! :)

Today was Uncle Kevin's birthday.
He invited me to pizza with him and Aunt Stacie. Daddy was working so he couldn't come till later when we ate cake.I was getting ready to pay for my pizza, but Uncle Kevin told me that he already paid for it.I don't know why since it was his birthday, but he said it was the first present he got for you. So, just so we all remember, and so you can know, the first gift you ever got was pizza from Uncle Kevin.Love, Me

A day full of surprises!

Yesterday, the first day of Spring, was a day full of surprises. When I got into bed last night. I told Brent that I felt like it was a crazy long day. And, not a bad long, just a really full, busy long kind of day. Here's why...

First....I got a new job!I'll be working in the Special Ed room at Noah Webster Academy. It's a charter school in Orem and I'm not sure what I'll be doing quite yet. But, I am really excited and I feel like I'll be doing something actually maybe preparing me for my career. Also, the pay is better and I'm going to get more hours. So we will be able to save money for our next little surprise.

And, when I said the last one was first, this one is really first and most exciting! But, I had to give you a little teaser first. Only it's not a joke, I really got a new job!!

2. The pictures are sidways and I don't know why. They aren't like this on my computer.
3. Seriously, our sink is really that gross. I cleaned it right before I took that picture. I promise!
4. That test has 2 lines. I repeat....TWO lines!! For those of you that don't know what that means, it means we are gonna have a baby! I texted my mom after I did the test and I just said "There were two lines." She responded with, "Huh?" That is a direct quote! So, then I said the test. After that I got a phone call because she didn't know what two lines meant. Apparantly back in the day there were only +'s and -'s instead of one line or two lines. True story.
5. I went to the lab yesterday also and it's for real! We are so, SO excited.
Brent found this website. He has enjoyed reading through it and learning things. He is also impressed with how much changes in a week. Take a look.
