I made a fall wreath!

And I think I like it. I dunno? What do you think?

Sometimes....

when I have a million things to do and I can barely keep my head above the water....

when I think of things and how they should be....

when I have questions and wonder....

I can't help but think of how blessed I am to have Brent.

And how happy I am even if things are rough.

I am truly happy with Brent.

And it is the most wonderful feeling.

What a guy he is, what a guy.

what a rip off

I'm sick. And when Brent brought in the mail and handed me my free box of cheerios I got so excited!

This is what I saw when I looked at my Cheerios.

However, when I opened the box, this is what I found inside.
There was a very large difference in the size of the box and the real size of the sample. What a rip off.
It was the hugest disappointment ever. I wanted to cry.

math is a really cool thing

One of the 8th Graders sang a song today while he was diligently doing his assignment. It was so hilarious that I had to get up and walk away before I exploded from laughter.

Math is a really cool thing.
Math is a wonderful thing.
So get off your ACT and do some math....

I'm guessing he got it from School of Rock. Who really knows though.

Math Is A Wonderful Thing Lyrics

here.

Oh my, it was amazing. He also said, "I really like being me today." Well good...keep it up, bud. Today, we really liked you being you, too.

this is Jani

She is just 7 years old and has schizophrenia. She was on Oprah yesterday (along with her parents and baby brother). I cried as I watched this episode. I'm not an emotional person, but it really got to me. (Spend the hour and watch it. You will cry too.) I can't believe the love that these parents show for their daughter, going to the ends of the earth to make her life happy and trying to get her to see that "our world" is a happy world to live in. I can't even imagine the struggles that Jani faces every moment trying to control her thoughts.

It got me thinking--things like this just don't seem fair. Why do children have to suffer like this? Why are these parents going through so much pain? This just breaks my heart and I don't understand.

Click here to go to her website, Jani's Journey. Click over to her father's blog and read the About Me section.

he lived a good life...

Tiburon was a beautiful fish. He was loved by all who knew him. Tiburon died peacefully in his bowl, after a long life. Tiburon lived a full fishy life. His parents loved him dearly. Big T, as he was so lovingly called, swam happily and always had a big appetite. His favorite babysitter was Grant, whom treated him like a fishy lover. Tiburon will be missed greatly, but he is in a better place. Funeral services were held today, in the Hirz bathroom.
